Children are not a scaled-down copy of adults, so when giving them first aid, there are important nuances and special manipulations that parents and all those who work with children (nannies, governesses, educators, etc.) need to know.
Program of the course “First Aid to Children”:
- Legal and psychological aspects of first aid
- The initial algorithm of actions in first aid
- Examination of the scene. Identification of dangerous factors that threaten you and the child
- Initial examination of the child, identification of vital signs
- Call an ambulance
- Stable position of the child who has lost consciousness
- Cardiovascular and respiratory system of the child
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Use of automatic external defibrillator
- Drowning
- Use of automatic external defibrillator
- Fever
- Stenosed laryngotracheitis
- Loss of fluid by the child (food toxic infections, vomiting, diarrhea)
- Acetonemic syndrome
- Airway obstruction (when a child chokes on food or a foreign body, such as a toy)
- Convulsive condition (in particular, cramps when there is a high temperature)
- Basics of first aid for domestic injuries
- First aid kit. An overview of a typical first aid kit and suggestions for how to use it
Attention! This course is designed for people without basic medical education and is not professional training for medical professionals.
The basics of first aid are taught only with the use of improvised means and dressing materials without the use of drugs and injections.
At the end of the course, there is a practical exam and a certificate is given if you pass.
The duration of the training: 8 hours with a break for a coffee break.
